Lisa Melmed, Director
Melmed is a Brooklyn-based director, producer, and writer of documentary films. She recently directed her second short documentary, “Larry and Me,” about CNN’S Larry King and his best friend, renowned negotiator and best-selling author Herb Cohen. (LarryandMe.com)
Melmed was a writer/producer of “B’ars to Bears: Hershey’s Hockey Dynasty,” a movie about the storied American Hockey League franchise, the Hershey Bears. Lisa was the executive producer of the feature, “Only the Dead Know the Brooklyn Americans,” which premiered at the Brooklyn Historical Society. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she holds an MBA in Finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
David Broad, Producer
BROAD is an independent producer based in Brooklyn. Through his imprint, Left of Frame Pictures, he produces documentary-focused branded content for clients such as Adidas, IBM, and General Mills. He also works in narrative film and TV development, where he developed Chef Driven (PBS), a travel & cooking tv program, with director Aaron Colussi. He graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with honors and a minor in history.
Steven M. Cohen, Executive Producer
Cohen is a lawyer by profession and has spent most of his life playing and enjoying hockey on both the big and little rink. He currently serves as the Co-Chair of Maccabi USA Hockey and played on the USA Maccabi Masters Hockey Team in 2013 and 2017. Earlier in his career, Cohen headed the Violent Gangs Unit in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Steve is on the Board of Trustees of NYU.
